2. Realizing that water baptism is an ordinance of the church, I desire to become associated with the local church and want to grow in God's Word as I am taught. (Ephesians 2:1, 21 &22, 4:16).
3. I understand that I am not saved by water baptism, but i am obeying the commands of scripture to be baptized in obedience. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16).
4. I recognize the symbolism of water baptism as my dying to self and sin arising to a new life in Christ. (Romans 6:1-10).
